International Children's Centre (ICC)

The CTE department collaborates with the International Children's Centre on an international term project course. In the course, students from CTE work together with students from the United States to complete a software project where the International Children's Center is the client.

Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey/Türkiye Eğitim Gönüllüleri Vakfı(TEGV)

As part of the CTE curriculum, and in cooperation with TEGV, students receive volunteer training. After the training they work as TEGV volunteers to create and implement educational programs and extracurricular activities for children aged 7-16.

Rose Hulman Institute of Technology

In collaboration with the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology, the CTE Department offers an international term project course where Bilkent CTE students work with colleages from RHIT in Terra Haute, Indiana, United States. Together they complete a software development project for a real-world client.

Bilkent Educational Technology Support Unit(BETS)

BETS is a volunteer group initialed by the CTE department that supports the use of instructional technology at Bilkent University.


Some CTE department faculty are also founding members of the local chapter of the ACM Special Interest Group in Computer Science Education. SIGCSE-Bilkent was formed to provide a network and resources to promote awareness of the importance of computer science education among academia, industry and K-12 educators
